BSc Agriculture

  • BSc Agriculture is 4year undergraduate course divided in to 8semesters pursued by students after the completion of 10+2.
  • This course focuses on different aspects of agriculture like Genetics and Plant Breeding, Agricultural Microbiology, Soil Science, Plant Pathology, etc.
  • A student must have passed 10+2 from Science stream (PCB/PCM) with a minimum of 50% from a recognized board for taking admission in BSc Agriculture.
  • The annual fee for this course is 50,000rs to 70,000rs.
  • Graduates can work as Agriculture Officer, Research Officer, Production Manager, Agriculture Development Officer, Marketing Executive, Agriculture Executive, Seed Technologist, etc.
  • The average salary of Graduates is 2 lakh to 8 lakh per annum.
  • Some of the recruiting organizations are NABARD, National Dairy Development Board, Food Corporation of India, Indian Council of Agriculture Research, Rallis India Ltd., Britannia, Cropx, Agridata, etc.

Bachelor of Pharmacy

  • BPharma is a 4 year undergraduate course divided in to 8 semesters pursued after the completion of 10+2.
  • This course focuses on the study of the methods and process of preparing, dispensing, consuming, advantages and disadvantages of drugs and medicines.
  • A student must have passed 10+2 from Science stream (PCB/PCM) with a minimum of 50% from a recognized board for taking admission in B. Pharma.
  • The annual fee for this course is 60,000rs to 70,000rs.
  • Graduates can work as Chemical/Drug Technician, Drug Therapist, Drug Inspector, Hospital Drug Coordinator, Health Inspector, Pharmacist, Research Officer, etc.
  • The average salary of Graduates is 3 lakh to 6 lakh per annum.
  • Some of the recruiting organizations are GlaxoSmithKline, Cipla, Abbott India, Sun Pharmaceuticals, Biocon, Novartis, Baxter and many more.

 

BSc Agriculture and BPharma are completely different courses having several differences. Some students find B. Pharma is better as it allows running own medical store chain whereas for some students BSc Agriculture is better as it opens doors of opportunity in government sector. It is not easy to decide which course is better but it is not false to say that both the courses are lucrative and beneficial for the students.
