ABOUT MPharma

Masters in Pharmacy or MPharma is a two year postgraduate course in the field of Pharmacy which is pursued after the completion of Bachelor’s Degree. In this course, the students are trained about the drugs and medicines, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Medicinal Chemistry etc. This course focuses on teaching the students about preparation of medicines, their usage, doses, benefits and side effects.

Students willing to pursue M. Pharma must have passed Bachelor’s Degree (BPharma) from a recognized University, approved by PCI. Their score in BPharma must not be less than 50%. Admission in M. Pharma can be taken either by qualifying GPAT which is a national level entrance exam or on the basis of marks obtained in Graduation. There is no age limit to pursue this course.

This course provides plenty of job opportunities in both public and private sectors. MPharma is a career-oriented course and if a student aspires to be a pharmacist, it is mandatory for him/her to pursue this course and build skills and knowledge on medicines.

There are several career options available for the science students after the completion of M. Pharma degree. The students can select higher studies within the Pharmacy i.e. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D). It must be noted that all the Pharmacy courses are approved by the ALL India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) & Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
