JOINT ENTRANCE EXAM POLYTECHNIC (JEEP)

Polytechnic is a diploma in engineering course that is pursued by students after either class 10th or class 12th. Candidates willing to take admission in Diploma in Engineering are granted admission based on scores obtained in UK JEEP. Uttarakhand JEEP is a state-level polytechnic entrance exam that opens the doors of admission into various polytechnic programs in Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand JEEP is conducted for admission into various diploma courses in the field of hotel management, pharmacy, engineering, technology, etc also but the prime focus remains Polytechnic only. Uttarakhand JEEP entrance exam is conducted by the Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education Roorkee (UBTER) once every year.

EXAM PATTERN

The latest exam pattern of JEEP is as follows:-

  • Uttarakhand JEEP exam is conducted in offline (pen-paper) mode.
  • The Uttarakhand JEEP paper comprises of a total of 100 multiple choice questions.
  • The paper is divided into two parts – Part I (Mathematics) and Part II (Physics and Chemistry).
  • The total time allotted to the candidates is 120 minutes, i.e 2 hours
  • All questions are of 500 marks in total.
  • There is no negative marking for incorrect responses.

ELIGIBILITY

The eligibility criteria for each programme are different so a student must always check the eligibility criteria thoroughly before applying for the examination.

  • There is no minimum or maximum age limit for this exam.
  • The candidate must have scored minimum 35% marks in class 10 with Science and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • Candidates must be permanent residents of the state of Uttarakhand.
  • Outside Uttarakhand candidates, who do not have permanent resident certificate, can apply only if they have passed the qualifying exam from the state.
  • Candidate qualifying an exam from an institute located in the state of Uttarakhand may also apply.
  • Applicants need to be physically and mentally fit.

Joint Entrance Exam Polytechnic (jeep) is the most important exam for the students seeking admission in Diploma courses in both government as well as private colleges.
