Masters in Nursing (MSc Nursing)

  • MSc Nursing is a two year postgraduate course that is pursued by students after the completion of BSc Nursing.
  • This course focuses on various branches of nursing, such as ambulatory care nursing, cardiac nursing, cardiac intervention nursing, critical care nursing, emergency nursing, pediatric nursing, etc. It imparts in depth knowledge to the students and teaches them how to serve patients and care for them.
  • The eligibility criterion to take admission is that a student must have passed BSc Nursing with a minimum of 50% from a recognized university, approved by INC.
  • It is required that a candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council before taking admission in MSc Nursing.
  • The average course fee for MSc Nursing is 1.5 lakh to 3.5 lakh per year.

  • Post Basic BSc Nursing is a 2year professional course pursued after the completion of 10+2.
  • This course focuses on providing training to the registered nurses, different aspects and practices of nursing in the medical field, increasing their efficiency to have better job opportunities.
  • The eligibility criterion to take admission is that a student must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% from a recognized board of education.
  • It must be noted that a student must have a certificate of General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) and should have a registration in Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM).
  • The average course fee for Post basic BSc Nursing is 50,000rs to 1 lakh per year.
  • The common PB BSc Nursing subjects include Nursing Foundation, Psychology, Medical & Surgical Nursing, Microbiology, Maternal Nursing, among others.
