Bachelor in Hotel Management

  • BHM is a four year undergraduate course that is pursued by students after the completion of 10+2.
  • This course focuses on topics such as different facets of hotel industry. It deals with a range of aspects like Front-office, housekeeping, food & beverage production and food & beverage service.
  • The eligibility for pursuing BHM is that a student must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% in any stream (Arts, Commerce or Science) from a recognized board.
  • The minimum age limit to pursue this course is 17years and the maximum age limit is 22 years.
  • The average course fee of BHM is 3lakh to 3.5lakh per annum.
  • Subjects of the subjects taught in BHM are Introduction to Hospitality & Tourism Industry, Food & Beverage Service, Food Production, Food Office Operations, Business Communication, Accommodation Operation, Bakery, Hospitality Accounting Management, Food Sciences & Nutrition, Global Food Trends, Human Resources Management.
  • Graduates can work as Kitchen Chef, Front Desk Officer, Receptionist, Cabin Crew, Event Manager, Hotel Manager, etc
  • Some of the recruiting companies and hotels are Taj Group of Hotels, Oberoi Group, Ambassador Group of Hotels, Sarovar Park Group of Hotels, Holiday Inn Group of Hotels, etc.

 

Bachelor of Hospitality Management

  • This course focuses on the study of hospitality industry, clinical, support services department, hotel administration and tourism.
  • The eligibility of this course is that a student must have passed 12th with a minimum of 50% from any stream (Arts, Science or Commerce).
  • The maximum age limit to pursue this course is 25years.
  • The average fee of DHM is 1.5 lakh – 5 lakh per annum.
  • Some of the subjects taught in this course are Accounting, Nutrition, Communication, Application of Computers, Hotel Engineering, Principles of Food Science, Housekeeping, Sales and Marketing, Hospitality Law, etc.
  • Graduates can work as Cruise Director, Resort Manager, Event Manager, Travel Counsellor, Relationship Manager, Hospitality and Catering Manger, etc.
  • Some of the recruiting organizations are Airlines and railways, Travel Agencies, Event Management Companies, Casinos, Restaurants, Hotels, concert Parks, etc.
