Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery (ANM)

  • Auxiliary Nursing midwifery (ANM) is a two year diploma course pursued by students after completing 10+2.
  • This course focuses on knowledge and training in the field of maternity care and providing assistance to new mothers during pregnancy and post delivery.
  • ANM can be pursued through distance learning also which is equivalent to regular course.
  • The minimum age for admission is 17years and upper age limit for pursuing this course 35 years as on 31st December of the same year.
  • Students from any stream (Science, Commerce or Arts) can pursue this course and the course fee for this is 50,000rs per year to 60,000rs per year.
  • ANM Diploma holders get job as home nurse, staff nurse, community health worker, nursing assistant, ICU nurse, etc. and the annual salary of ANM professionals is between 1.5lac and 7.5lac
  • Students can pursue General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) also after completing ANM.

General Nursing Midwifery (GNM)

  • General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) is a three year diploma course pursued by students after completion of 10+2.
  • This course trains students to deal with patients and assist doctors and help them develop skills to work efficiently in a hospital environment and provide first aid, blood pressure monitoring, etc.
  • GNM can be pursued through distance learning also which is equivalent to regular course.
  • The minimum age for admission is 17years and upper age limit for pursuing this course 35 years as on 31st December of the same year.
  • Students from any stream (Science, Commerce or Arts) can pursue this course and the course fee for this is 60,000rs per year to 70,000rs per year.
  • GNM Diploma holders get job as senior nurse educator, staff nurse, community health worker, nursing assistant, ICU nurse, etc. and the annual salary of GNM professionals is between 2lac and 8lac.
  • Students can pursue BSc Nursing also after completing GNM.

BSc Nursing

  • BSc Nursing is a four year degree course pursued by students after completion of 10+2.
  • BSc Nursing trains the medical aspirants get thorough knowledge and training in the processes of wellness, illness management and health promotion.
  • BSc nursing is pursued as a regular course and not through distance learning.
  • The minimum age limit for doing this course is 17years and the maximum age limit is 35years.
  • Students from Science stream can pursue this course and the course fee for this is 80,000rs per year to 90,000rs per year.
  • Bsc Nursing Graduates get job as Nursing Superintendent , Ward Nurse, Nurse Manager, Nursing tutor etc. and the annual salary of ANM professionals is between 3lac and 9lac
  • Students can pursue MSc Nursing after completing BSc Nursing.
