Common Management Admission Test (CAT)

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level entrance exam conducted by National Test Agency (NTA). This is a computer based test (CBT) which facilitates institutes to select students for admission in all management programmes (MBA/PGDM) in over 1000 B- Schools approved by AICTE. This exam is held once in a year.

ELIGIBILITY
  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree, with no less than 50% from a recognised university.
  • Candidates awaiting their Bachelor courses results may also apply.
  • There is no age limit to apply for CMAT.

EXAM PATTERN

  • In CMAT, the time duration of the exam is 180 minutes (3 hours).
  • The total number of questions in this exam is 100.
  • The total marks are 400marks.
  • 4 marks are awarded for every correct answer. Each wrong answer costs -1mark.
  • The medium of paper is English.

The registration process of CMAT is online. The application form can be filled online and the exam is held in more than 100 cities. Every year many aspirants appear for the exam and get admission into PGDM and MBA courses in which they learn about management skills and about dealing in a business environment.

Students must always go through the details of the test and prepare for it by downloading the available syllabus. After qualifying for the test, students are granted admission based on scores obtained. Hence, this is an important exam designed to select deserving candidates for management courses.
