Bachelor in Physiotherapy (BPT) is a four and a half year professional course that trains the candidates to treat muscle spasms and injuries. This course focuses on the physical movements of the body to treat various conditions such as asthma, sports injuries, chronic heart disease, stroke, cystic fibrosis, etc. It also highlights the importance of six months of clinical internship. Physiotherapy is a branch of healthcare that teaches about physical movement including manual therapy, exercises, and application of electro-physical mode of treatment, which cure a variety of disabilities and diseases related to the spine, back, neck, and even stress-related problems.
Candidates seeking admission in this course must have passed 10+2 with a minimum aggregrate score of 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects from a recognized university. Admission can be taken directly or on merit basis.
After completing BPT, individuals can work in Private as well as Public hospitals or organization. The demand for good physiotherapists is rising. Physiotherapists are required in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, fitness centres, sports centres, defence establishments, etc. Physiotherapists can also run their own clinic and attend to their patients’ needs.
